Happening today, Wednesday, August 27:

• Every Wednesday from 4 PM to 8 PM is miniatures gaming at the Little Shop of Magic.
• Local authors Tami Cowden and Lisa McGlaun are giving a talk, "Blogging Your Way Through Life - How To Start Your Own Online Journal" at 6:30 PM in the Jewel Box Theater at the Clark County Library at 1401 E. Flamingo Rd. in Las Vegas.
• A writers group will be meeting at 7 PM at Borders Books at 2190 N. Rainbow Blvd., according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
